About five years ago I read both of the Persepolis comics by Marjane Satrapi and I was inspired to do my own reading into more of its political history. Iran felt so out of reach and touchable then, a world of a world away. This country was only making headlines every so often because of its government and leaders, not its people.

Now today as millions and millions of this country's voices can be heard, with resonating echos through out the internet and into real life- I am filled with hope and pride in the mankind. As citizens of a global society we are finally stepping into the role of responsibility and influence that has laid dormant for far too long. Of course there is no way to make up for all this lost time and lost oppourtunities but I hope that when the country of Iran is revived into the country it deserves to be, that no one will forget what it means- how it feels to be a part of Change. What it feels like to be connected to people continents away.

Let's make this happen, because we can.

Let's keep this movement alive.
